Spring splash 4/19/09

The last day of the season is a special time in Winter Park. It's kinda like tailgating at opening day of baseball season, music festivals, and the polar plunge combined with snowboarding.

This is wrong... So, So, wrong.

Spring splash.

Colorado Gnar, how i'll miss you.

Yep, i'm a gaper today

Good bye winter.. Hello summer

Last pow day of the season 4/19/09

The last Saturday of the ski season we got a monster storm. This storm dumped over 3 feet of snow onto the valley in a little over 48 hours. What a great way to enjoy the last couple days of being able to snowboard Winter Park/ Mary Jane

The official snowman of pow days.

The view from my balcony.

Believe it or not these are actually 2 cars in the parking lot.

Last year with this board.. What a great way to go out.

Spring in Winter Park 4/17/09

Spring time in the valley is a weird time... It can go from no snow and mid 60's to over 2 feet of snow and still dumping within a weeks time.

Still falling.

YAY!

Let it snow.

Steamboat 4/5/09

Here are pics from Steamboat. They had gotten over 4 feet of snow in 3 days. The base of the resort was springlike conditions while the top was getting dumped on.

Riding the lift up the far right side of Steamboat.

Untouched powder on Morningside (the backside of the mountain)

All for me.

Taking the trails back to the base.

The base is sunny, but see the snow?

Winter Park Pow Day 4/4/09

Here are some pics from Winter Park (Mary Jane side) on a pow day.
Driving in to park at the Jane parking lot.
Ready to drop into some fresh pow.
I am a tree yeti. When the snow is so awesome in the trees, why leave?

Still snowing.

Phil enjoying himself.
