Copper Mountain... Again 11/15/08

Went back out to Copper but took another route. This route bypassed Berthoud Pass and gave us a different look.

Driving in the Canyon.

The train snaking along the river.

Sharp pointy rocks.

More sharp pointy rocks.

Me and Luke at the base village @ Copper. This was his 2nd time riding.

Good luck buddy.

Yeah Ben, that's kinda close!

11/7/08 Opening day @ Copper Mountain

Friday Copper Mountain officially opened up (as well as Keystone and Breckenridge). How could I miss opening day? Answer is I couldn't

Eisenhower tunnel going underneath the continental divide.

And up. That building down below is actually halfway up the mountain.

Grand passes and beer. Two necessities for a great day.

11/6/08 Backcountry after a storm.

We got hit by a snow storm for the last couple days. So after riding in the storm last night I decide to go up into the mountains to do some backcountry riding before work. With over 1 1/2 feet of fresh champagne powder, my smile couldn't have been bigger.

Ahhhh the beauty!

Thank god for chairlifts at resorts. Hiking back up sucks!

Taking a much deserved break.

Took the 4runner for a drive

Took the 4runner off road on CR53 for a little muddy drive.

In a little valley area with a great view.

Different angle

That's the town of Granby in the distance.

10/29/08 Fort Collins... Back to civilization

Went into Fort Collins with Dana and Sarah to go out and have a good time. Man it felt good to be back in civilization for a little bit. We ended up going to Old Town which is around the campus and found a cool bar called The Drunken Monkey... Enough said?

Dana and Sarah sitting at the bar. Notice the barstools are actually swings..

Sarah to fall off her swing later in the night.........

We survived the night. Special thanx to Dana's aunt and uncle for the place to stay the night.

10/28/08 Snowboarding at A-Basin

Took a couple shots of A-Basin snowboarding. This was my 14th time of the season already! They only had 2 blue runs open and a terrain park but hey, it wasn't even Halloween yet!

Almost there. This mountain looks exactly like a pyramid.

Going up the lift

Closer

Sharing the ride up

Just someone random in the pic. Needed a pic of the top of the run.

Great sunset shots

Various shots taken in the last couple weeks.

This is just the start.

This is from my porch. The pic doesn't even come close to the real thing.

Over the front range. This is actually east but in the mountains the sunset is a "full"sky event!

Again, over looking the front range.

And again. It looked like a painting.

Again, how can pictures do this justice

Now that's a sunset!

Even better!

Kinda looks like a forest fire doesn't it?

Close up over the mountain range.

4Runner playing

Just some pics of the 4Runner playing around on some off road trails in light snow.

Miscellaneous pictures

Again I apologize about the delay.. My computer has been down lately so i've been putting off using another computer to load these. These are random pictures taken within the last couple weeks... They are all from my phone because I always forget to bring my camera with.

10/12/08, Snow

Really low clouds, you can't even see the mountain behind the truck.

Low morning clouds, Snow Mountain in the background.

Morning shot with the clouds below Snow Mountain's peak.
